Hi, welcome to GoY, yes, sow the seed in autumn, in containers outside, they will germinate in spring, Derek.

welcome to GoY. the Cherries are the seeds of the plant. so yes plant them and let nature do its thing. you may have to wait for a couple of years for them to germinate.
