Here's a daft one my sweet peas are looking really good loads of flowers and stems ect but I noticed that there are pods appearing should I pick these off to encourage more flowers

Absolutely, yes - they start forming before the final flower on a stem is even over, they're so keen to make seed, so take them off as soon as you see them.
