I have Mind Your Own Business in the shrub beds growing around fuchsia, photinias etc. I don't mind the look of it. Is it doing any harm to the shrubs or should I get rid of it?

No, its not doing any harm at all, assuming you mean Soleirolia soleirolii, but if you don't like it, dig some or all of it out.
