Can anyone identify this clematis my mother bought it two years ago at a plant sale for 50p labeled as clamatis unknown and gave it to me. I put it in a 12" pot it did not flower last year but is doing quite well this year. I would like to know what it is so that I can prune it properly this spring I just cut of the die back and left it to get on with it and now it is about 10 feet tall

Youre welcome there is another simular but more petals called Warsaw Nike but has too many petals like mine and yours , if you go to my garden photos, and look at my clematis both are on there for you to see, you will see the difference then.

There are so very many and i find that a lot look alike, unfortunately.
