Hi Gtgdouglass and welcome to GoY, where do you live on the planet - it helps us to know your climate etc. Assuming it is the UK, when did you plant the tree? t looks rather close to the fence to my way of thinking and may, therefore not be receiving enough water. You appear to have a lot of trees/shrubs planted in the bed so it will have to fight for its share of the water, in nature it lives where there is an ample supply of water, often running water and produces surface roots. Perfectly happy in a bog!

yes my thoughts too moongrower. they really do like lots of water and the rainfall has been rather erratic this year. and the brick building behind your property could certainly cast a rain shadow. are the other shrubs showing any problems?

welcome from me too.
