I am trying to identify a plant/shrub that has seeded itself in my garden. I have transplanted it into a pot as it looks interesting but I have no idea what it is. See second photo for the seed heads that it has produced. Can anyone identify it for me please?

Leaves look like a witchhazel so might be Fothergilla so have a look and see if it matches anything on the net.

Thanks for the suggestions. I Googled both goat willow and fothergilla and can now definitely say that is fothergilla.

it looks like a willow probably the goat willow. it will become a vigorous tree in a relatively quick time.
