Hi Both and welcome to GoY, nothing strange happening your Cordyline is simply flowering. When the flowers are over remove the flowering stems right back at the base.

I would also add that your cordyline needs repotting or better still be replanted in the ground. After all it is a tree of possibly 4 to 8 metres eventually.

Agree - my first thought was that the pot is much too small for the size of the plant.

Desperate to go into the ground or a much larger pot - by the looks of it, the reason for the prolific (in comparison to the size of the plant and the very few healthy leaves it has) flowering might be because the plant's about to keel over and give up. Many plants flower prolifically just before they die, so get a bigger pot if you can't put it in the ground.
