We planted a beautiful six foot tall noble fir tree 4 years ago and it's seemed to thrive, we had pine cones for 2 years. Then this winter it has turned a rust colour and looks like it's dying. Any ideas why and what I can do about it?

Nothing can be done for this tree; it's dead. Cut it down, get rid of it. It's highly flammable. I can't tell why it died. Is it sitting in water? muck?

Maybe it has died of drought?

If it was buried to deep when it was planted, that is a common response: 2-5 years of growth, followed by sudden death.

How do I say thanks?
