We have a small indoor palm tree which is in the south facing front window. We have had this palm tree for about 20 years and it is now reaching the ceiling! Could it be moved to our back north-facing garden where there is less light ... or would change of habitat kill it?

Many thanks .... Martin

Depends what variety of palm it is - if you don't know, can you post a photograph, but if it really is an indoor palm, you wont be able to put it outdoors without its dying. If its reasonably hardy variety, after hardening off, a sheltered south facing situation would give a better chance, rather than a colder, north facing situation.
