Having just moved to a new home I have inherited 4 fruit trees, Victoria Plum, Greensleeves apple Juniper Apple, and Bountifull cooker. They have all been left to run wild,twisted and damaged branches lots of fungi, greensleeves apple is full of disease. This looks to late for a gentle prune back alround will they take a hard cut back or is it time to fell.

A picture speaks a thousand words, so if you could add some photos, that would be helpful. But you mention fungi - what does that mean, exactly, in terms of what type of fungi and where is it?
