Can anyone advise me whether Gazanias (e.g Tiger Stripe) are winter hardy or should they be treated as annuals. I have some in pots and just wondering if they are likely to survive the winter.

Thanks

Technically hardy to USDA zone 8, but cold damp, snow, and frozen soil are death to them. So, from where Caithness is, I would keep them in the conservatory or a near frost-free greenhouse. Somewhat iffy to overwinter even in England, from what I have heard.

Given where you live I'd treat them as annuals...

Agree. I did keep one for several years in the conservatory because it was a present but it never did much after the first year anyway. Poor thing wouldn't stand much of a chance in Caithness.

How do I say thanks?
