I have developed arthritis and can't dig over hard ground; so can anyone recommend a reliable 'machine' that can do the job?

The Mantis tiller is well recommended but there are cheaper ones - don't know if they are as reliable though.
How about hiring a machine from a local hire shop to see how you get pn with it first?
