i have taken some rose stem cuttings a couple of months ago,i now have leaves on a couple of them,i have them in pots indoors,should i put them outside,as its october.

I think you're going to have to, but harden them off properly first - if you have a cold frame outdoors, that would give them some protection from the worst of the winter cold and wet.
