reseeding a patchy pre exsisting lawn , the baby slugs are all up high at the ends of the grass blades ! was going to put deadline 2 in my pump sprayer and spray the lawn ?

Maybe a light sprinkling of iron phosphate granules? I'll admit that I have never had to deal with snails and slugs on that scale!

How about running the mower with the blades set high just to take the tops of the grass or put some bread crumbs down to encourage the birds.

According to the link below, Deadline Force II should not be applied directly to plants, but applied around them - given that grass is lots of plants, it doesn't seem like a good idea
