Hi all, just a couple of questions
is it too late to give a cotoneaster a good pruning to re shape? Also had an idea to create a marsh area to my pond, any ideas on how deep the soil would need to be? as in at what depth should the liner be below ground level, had planned on it been a part of the pond or is that not a good idea.
thanks Kev

personally I'd prune later in the year after the birds have eaten all the berries or in early spring before the leaves break.

as to the boggy area it will depend on what plants you hope to grow. the bigger the plant the deeper it will need to be. linking it to the pond 'overflow' will certainly help to keep it moist.
