can anybody put a name to this plant. i bought it locally
but it came without its name tag

Looks like an evergreen azalea to me. It will need acid (ericaceous) compost - if in a pot - or an acid soil (add ericaceous compost) to live in - If you are on a chalky soil - keep it in a big pot!

Looks like Rhododendron Blue Tit. flowering out of season, I have one that is also producing the odd flower no doubt due to the weather. There are several similar Dwarf Rhodos to this one
