I recently asked what this was, but can't remember the name but do know its an old fashioned plant. I think it has seed pods under the flower do i take these off now or wait thanks for any help .

If you want to use the seeds to plant more next year, you need to let them dry as they are on the plant and collect them when they are ripe.

Farewell-to-Spring (Clarckia amoena). Note on the seeds: if you let the pods ripen completely, then they will open on the plant, and you will lose most of the seeds. Better to let the pods start to get just parchment-like, then pick them, and put them in paper bags to finish drying.
