The blooms on my passionflower keep falling before they flower have feed with tomato ripe will this help have also seen little black beetles in the flower could they be the cause?

Couple of queries - is the passionflower in a pot or in the ground? and I'm somewhat puzzled as to how you've been able to see beetles inside the flowers if they've dropped off before opening - have some of them opened then? How big are these beetles? Any chance of a photograph?
