Help!! Both my palm trees, planted in ground and different ages and variety, are losing lots of lower leaves, one lot is quite yellow , the other lot more brown. The trunks at the loss points are wet.
Your advice would be much appreciated.

Sorry, but can you post photos please. Although I can hazard a guess you're talking about cordyline australis, it's difficult to judge what's happening without seeing the problem.
