Just wondered......has anyone any experience of using a Parasene superwarm 10 paraffin heater? I've used the smaller ones in the past that just have the small wick , but this one has two wide wicks. I bought it second hand and I'm having trouble feeding the wicks through.(I want to get them both up to same height and trim the old blackened tops off as they smoke terribly. ) or I could buy a new wick but they are so expensive £11/13 online and it could be a waste if I can't get it in /feed it through.I've attached a photo of the heater for identification purposes and one of the burner/wicks which have metal clips on them. Do these come with new wicks? Is the wick supposed to feed through the clips?
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
Paul

I hope modern paraffin heaters are more reliable than they used to be. 20 years ago mine died in the night and every leaf in the greenhouse was covered with soot in the morning . . . not a good look!

Good luck with getting yours sorted Paul (and sorry if I've alarmed you . . . )

I have used paraffin heaters quite a lot over the years Sheila. Have to be careful not to get black soot everywhere.
But, at my last garden I had an electric heater in the potting shed but , alas, no outside electricity here!

How do I say thanks?
