I bought a new green cordyline,potted it.Bottom leaves are going yellow and dropping off.Is this too much water or not enough.pot good drainage

It could be either one, 1954. I would allow the to cm of compost to dry between waterings, and check every day until I got an idea of the rhythms with that soil and pot. If it's just a few leaves, they may just be going from old age.
