I have a large pot bound agapanthus. I have taken it out of the pot, but how can I divide it? It will no split naturally,and is too big and tough for a carving knife. Would My electric reciprocal saw do the job? It is too tough for Two forks back to back, or even a sharp spade.

When I divide my daylilies, I use a serrated bread knife, but your reciprocal saw should work. Once you are through the crown, the rest can be pulled apart. You may need to blast it with a strong stream of water.
