Could anyone recommend a tree with limited root growth which could be planted 10 foot away from a building.

Could anyone recommend a tree with limited root growth which could be planted 10 foot away from a building.

A conifer maybe, something like Thuja occidentalis 'Holmstrup' which only gets around 3 -4 metres high after a long time, otherwise, too risky for broadleaf trees, it'd have to be a shrub, one of the larger ones, like Euonymus japonicus ovatus aureus, though there are lots of larger shrubs to choose from.
