Well you're right, no one seems to stock the seed nor sell the plant any more, and haven't done for a while. Likely because P. sinensis is one of the primulas which can readily and commonly cause an allergic reaction on the skin - even the original P. obconica is hard to source, the modern replacement being one that's had the allergen bred out of it.
