I have a retaining wall approx. 20ft long x 3ft high I would like to cover it with evergreen trailing plants either with or without flowerers,

And is this wall in sun or shade and what part of the world are you in? What's it retaining, is there soil/grass behind and on top of it? What's at the base of the wall (paving? planted area? lawn?)

The plant palette would be far different for say, Scotland, than for the Phillipines, or the Arizona desert, where I live. Selections for a north-facing wall wouldn't normally work for a south-facing one either--hence all the questions.
