We would need to know things like how much of the tree has brown leaves, when it happened, just what the leaves look like on the way from green to brown, whether it's a new tree or an old one, sun exposure, watering, feeding, things like that.

And at the risk of stating the obvious, if you live in the south, then the most likely cause currently is drought.
