after tomatoes have been removed from growbags , can old compost be used in raised beds in greenhouse for seed cultivation

« just been given some mickelmuss daisys . but dont know how to look after them
it can but any diseases present may infect the germinating seeds. I usually put it on the compost heap or round the base of shrubs as a mulch.
