I purchased a mum with buds in an 8" pot a week ago. I will need to have the buds open in 20 days when I will use it for table decoration. Will the buds open in thme? Thank you.

Agree with MG! Unless they are in very tight bud, they will be showing half open within a week. The only way to slow them down is to keep them in cool (45º F-55º F), bright conditions. Better to buy one in bloom when you need it.

If your mum is already in bud I would have thought the flowers would be out far sooner than 20 days, which mum is it?
