IT's a Yucca. Others on here asked about it also.

Its a Yucca - most likely Yucca aloifolia, but there are other varieties which are hardy in the UK - Yucca flaccida 'Golden Sword' being the most attractive in my opinion. Well, apart from Yucca gloriosa, but that variety tends to succumb quite readily to a fungal spot infection.
