Please can anyone help have been growing streptocarpus indoors for years, but now they are covered in mealey bug,bought a spray but has not solved the problem

Paint the mealy bug with meths using something like a child's paint brush. More trouble than a spray nut it never fails. When you've cleared it it may be worthwhile to tip the plant out of the pot a little to see if there is any on the roots - if there is the same remedy works.
