Growing in a neighbour's garden. About 2-3 feet tall. Very striking flower...do I want seeds of it?

Yes indeed that's what it seems to be....

Is it desirable in the garden? Neighbours have departed the scene, plant is growing on verge, so I could either dig up a plant or wait for seeds...

Very desirable, if you can grow it. They need dampish soil, too dry and they get mildewed to death.

I have 'Cambridge scarlet' at work which is currently 4 foot tall. Easy to divide clumps in autumn or spring, they do get mildew as mentioned above.

Bees love it too which is why a common name is bee balm I guess. Mildewed in my garden though but so are many plants I've tried.

How do I say thanks?
