I have just bought a 2 year old Judas tree on-line. It has come staked quite tightly to a bamboo. Should I loosen the ties? Or remove the stake?

I looked this up on the internet, as wasnt sure what it is.
Loads of lovely photographs. The stem looks very strong
holding the upper branches without support.

Haven't worked out how to download photos yet! It's about 4 foot high and the trunk is more like a pencil! Looks healthy. It's just that I recently read an article about staking being bad for trees. So now I'm confused!

If the trunk is that thin I would leave the stake in for now, but make sure it is not too tight to the tree trunk.
