My rhubarb has developed mauve/rusty coloured spots on the leaves does this mean I have to dispose of the plant
or will the rhubarb be able to use the fruit??

Don't EVER try to eat the leaves of rhubarb - they are poisonous.

You're not going to eat the leaves so the stalks should be ok.
