Hi there, 2 days ago I've over-fed my grass with feed (grass burn I believe it's called) and it's gone black / brown in places (see attached photo). I've been watering heavily since as this is what I was told to do. Is there anything else I can do to revive or is it dead and needs to be re-seeded completely?

I did this last year when the box of lawn treatment had a hole in the bottom as I walked around the lawn it delivered far to much in some areas which was followed by a dry period.
I too had black patches which after a couple of weeks I reseeded this did not work, so I waited another 6 weeks to make sure the treatment was not still lingering and then reseeded which took well.

Ah. My husband did the same thing! Huge swathes of dead and brown grass. It was left for a couple of weeks before reseeding. He raked over the dead bits, and then reseeded adding some fine lawn compost, kept it watered and now it's all recovering well.
