Agree, whatever you do don't give them any fertiliser!
they respond quite quickly to glyphosate if not in the lawn, but that kills everything it touches the leaves of.

No, looks more Celandine to me.
Where is it growing? If in your lawn then a broadleaf weed killer which does not affect the grass is the stuff to look for. Verdone do one as do Maxicrop.
