I have a new wooden veg trough and need to line it before filling. I want a liner that will provide drainage but also protect the wood from soil and too much damp. Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

If the trough is designed to have veg grown in it it doesn't need lining. If it really is a trough rather than a raised bed make sure it has adequate drainage and is not sitting directly on the ground.
