i HAVE A RED CURRANT BUSH AND A WHITE CURRENT BUSH. THE RED CURRANTS ARE RIPE AND READY TO PICK.THE WHITE CURRENTS ARE FEW AND THEY ARE A DARK MAROON/PURPLE COLOUR. DON'T KNOW IF SOMETHING IS WRONG OR DO THEY GO THROUGH THIS COLOUR BEFORE RIPENING.

White currants start off green and then turn white. Sounds like you have a Blackcurrant rather than a white. Do the crushed leaves smell of cat wee?
