for a garden fete I want to planbt seed in punnets and sell the seedling. How long before the day must I sow the seeds

if you want to sell Begonias, geraniums, petunias, nicotiana etc, you should have sown back in Feb, most other seeds are sown in march, fast growers such as stocks, marigolds, cosmos etc can be sown now.

It depends when the fete is, most packets will tell you when to plant and when they should flower, it depends also of course on the weather and if you have a greenhouse and propagator.....
