Is hypericum magical white a good ground cover plant? I see that it has a longer flowering period than h. calycinum.

On plant Hypericum calycinum

Been trying to check on the spread and hardiness of this variety, I've never grown it - it apparently gets to 1m, but the spread is not mentioned, and two of the places I've looked where they're selling it say "it has been suggested that some sheltering cover in winter would be useful" and in another place its listed as a "summer filler" - I take that to mean that it's not fully hardy, unlike H. calycinum.
