Hi Dee - do you mean citrus (lemon, lime etc) or Cistus (common name Rock Rose)?
If you are worried about freezing then it is usual to give a plant protection - wrapping in horticultural fleece (if the plant is in the ground) or, if it's in a pot, moving it to a sheltered spot or unheated greenhouse.

Where are you in the world that you are worried about freezing in April? A citrus tree is unlikely to be growing outside if you have freezing weather at this time of year.

Hello Dee

Just a bit of info - remove your email address from the question as anybody can see it and you might get unwanted mail - any replies you get will appear as comments under the question, as these replies have.
Second, its always useful to fill in the bit on the profile showing your country and count (or state etc) because advice will often vary according to the climate where you live.
eg in the UK citrus need taking under glass in the winter.

If you need to reply to anybody privately you can send them a private message here on the Goy site. Ask if you need to know how to do this,.
