Potato disintegrates

Both early (foremost) and main (romano) potatoes disintegrate when boiled this year. Are we doing something wrong or are the conditions not right?

I had one lot that went all slimy,when cooked. thought it was the variety, or had I kept them too long. Mine were bought at supermarket, perhaps your are home grown?
