I have some calamansi trees, the less spiky roundish bushes give good fruits,the taller spiky bushes give less fruit, are there different sexs of trees

It may be that your different bushes/trees are different orange citrus plants - Calamansi is also known as Calamondin, is thorny and I can't find different varieties or cultivars listed anywhere. Calamansi produces orange citrus fruits, somewhat sour, and there aren't male and female plants, meaning one lone Calamansi will produce fruit on its own.
