i have purchased 2 papaver oriental picot , the flowering has been brilliant , but
do i need to cut the dead blooms off now , or should i leave them , thanks

you can do either. I usually dead head mine in the hope f a few flowers later in the year. I am not after collecting the seed, but if you do then leave the heads on until they start to dry out. then cut the seed head off and pop the seed head into a paper bag.
