You can be chitting them now though. Standing them in egg boxes in a cool place and a good light (but not in direct sun) is a popular method.

Charlotte yes I find Maris Peer too floury.

Depends what you like Hank. I'm with MG, prefer Charlotte to MP but I don't care for floury but they are great for mash if that's what you want.

I'm not sure whether to risk any this year as I had blight last year for the first time ever. Perhaps just a few first earlies.
