how do you keep a lavender hedge in good shape? Our hedge was planted last year but we only pruned it in the autumn after flowering. This year it is really straggly and not a nice rounded shape.

Dead-head it in the autumn, and then in the spring, clip it over, but be careful not to cut into the old wood, as it won't regenerate.
