It 'could' be jewel orchid Ludisia discolour, I seem to remember Lidl was selling them a couple of years (or more) ago. Take a look at http://www.tropicalexotica.com/jewelorchid.htm

I think leaves are too broad for tradescantia...

It looks like a type of tradescantia, has many common names such as wandering sailor. It isn't an orchid. well I don't think it is.
