Why has my wisteria died?
Derbyshire,
United Kingdom
The well-established wisteria shown in the photo has flowered successfully for several years, but this year it sprouted only a few buds which died. The only sign of life is a couple of shoots sprouting from its main root near the base of the plant, the first of which has shrivelled.

This does happen sometimes for no obvious reason , you may find it will throw up some new shoots from the ground, look out for them and then you can start again.Make sure the pieces are dead(scrape a bit of bark back, then you can tell) then cut it down.
