That's nice :o)
Maybe you could have put it in a blog :o)
I think more people would see it (just a suggestion ...)

They are great plants aren't they? Just a tip - now its flowering don 't turn it round - the buds will try to move towards the light and may drop off if it gets confused about where the window is! Your Mum would surely have been very pleased with it!

Mam gave me one about 10 years ago and it's still going strong, but sadly Mam died, she was 99 though! It's always beautiful in my conservatory right over the whole Christmas period. Any gardening skills or knowledge I have came from Mam and she would probably say "That damn plant will live longer than me!" Great sense of humour.

Thanks Pammie. My mother was great and loved her garden which she looked after until she was 96. She was only 5ft tall and weighed 7st but what a huge character she had. All my gardening knowledge was gleaned from her. When my Christmas cactus flowers, it's as though she is saying, "I am still here!" I'm sure you feel the same when you look at your cactus in your Mum's bowl.

A very pretty plant and a nice memory for you. I hope mine will be as lovely! It's in bud at the moment.
