Do you mean the Aeonium Black Rose? And by proper name do you mean the botanical name? If so then the botanical name is Aeonium arboreum 'Zwartkop'.
In Latin Arbor means tree. So Arboreum means tree like or tree type. Zwartkop is Dutch for black top, so the meaning would be black top treelike Aeonium.
