All the tall plants that I grow along the wooden fence lean out away from the fence. Is there a reason for this? The fence is 5ft high. Is there anything I can do to prevent this apart from tying them to the fence or staking them? The fence faces south west. I live in Luton Bedfordshire

I'd like to see a photograph of this problem - the usual cause for this is planting too close to the fence - there should be a gap of at least a foot between the fence and any plant, and preferably 18 inches. If it faces south west, then the other explanation (too much shade) doesn't really fit.

How do I say thanks?
